October 24, 2021

Greetings CDA Family,

The 11th week of school is here and we will continue our laserlike focus on academic achievement, socio emotional learning, and school safety.  We will also highlight our progress monitoring tests and prepare our students for the Smarter Balanced Summary Assessment System that Grades 3 to 5 will take in April 2022.  Please note that this will be the first time for all our students to experience the Smarter Balanced Summary Assessments.

Smarter Balanced Interim Assessments

The interim progress monitoring assessments are designed to support teaching and learning throughout the year.  Teachers in grades 3 to 5 have selected the interim assessment blocks that will be administered starting this week.  Our teachers will analyze the data during the week of November 8 which helps assess student progress towards mastery of the grade-level standards.

Dreambox Learning

CDA has chosen Dreambox Learning as the digital resource to support student preparation for the Math Smarter Balanced assessment.  Our goal is for each student in Grades K to 5 to use this tool at least once per week at home and at school.  Please help your child access Dreambox by following the instructions found by clicking here.
