Dear Parent/Guardian:
We need YOUR help in securing funding for our school. It is imperative to receive 100% participation on the form below to receive funds to support OUR students and OUR school. If we do not get 100% participation, we will lose out on certain funding. Please fill this form out ASAP. It will make a difference that will benefit our entire school community. More details below.
Our beloved school needs additional funds to support our students’ achievement and we are counting on your help. This year, we need 100% parents/guardians to complete a Household Income Form for School Programs Funding (HIF) for every child enrolled in our school by October 27th, 2023.
The HIF determine our school funding for the next four years. We need 100% participation.
Submission of completed Household Income Form (HIF) entitles our school to receive additional Federal and State monies based on the number of eligible students and helps our school in many ways. The more completed Household Income Forms(s) turned in, the more funds our school is eligible to receive.
Please be assured that the information you provide on the HIF form will be kept completely confidential and will not be used for any other purpose. Completing this form will result in valuable resources for students such as:

Instructional materials

School counseling services
-
Support for students acquiring English language
-
Enrichment programming for identified gifted students

Student-centered academic programming such as Cognitively Guided Instruction, Reading and Writing Workshop as two components of the Science of Reading and Writing, and Social-Emotional Learning through Council in Schools
The HIF form can be completed online at https://hif.lausd.net. Completing the HIF form is not about meals, as all students at our school are entitled to free meals at school, regardless of family income.
When completing the HIF form, please be sure to:

Use black or blue ink.

Complete Sections A, B and C of the HIF form.

Sign and date the HIF form and return the completed HIF form to the school ASAP.
