Greetings CDA Family,

We are excited to start the Spring semester!  Please note that the start of school is now on Tuesday, January 11 for in-person learning.

Following up on the Monday message from Interim Superintendent Reilly, all students and employees, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, returning for in-person instruction must have a recent negative COVID test result before coming to school.

The nearest Los Angeles Unified COVID-19 testing site is Beethoven EEC and is operating from 7:15am to 4:00pm.

Please bring your student on one of these scheduled days for their COVID-19 test.

Walk-Up Testing Locations (January 3-January 10)

Between Monday, January 3 and Monday, January 10, COVID-19 testing for employees and students will be offered at additional locations throughout each Local District. Operating hours at these sites are Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students and employees can walk-up to any of these sites without an appointment.

Please note the following baseline testing updates:

  • Student PCR tests (dated January 3rd or after) are accepted.
  • Student antigen tests (at-home tests) are accepted but a photo must be uploaded on their Daily Pass with an external test result date from January 8th to 10th.
  • Handwritten student name and date of birth (DOB) should be included on the test result photo for antigen tests.
  • Employees must have a PCR test uploaded and approved to enter the school campus on Monday, January 10th.
  • Students and employees who have previously tested positive and are under the 90 day no testing period are exempt from baseline testing. (They must have a positive test result on Daily Pass as documentation in order to be exempt.)

Our regularly scheduled COVID testing in the school auditorium resumes this Tuesday, Jan 11, 2022 from 7:30am to 3:30pm.
