Hello Coeur d’Alene!
Can you believe it’s that time again? We’re not sure what happened to the summer, but we hope yours was fabulous! On behalf of the entire Booster Club, let us be the first to welcome you back to the new school year.
Every Sunday, look out for the weekly update you’ll get from Cara and me–it’s a snap shot of what’s coming up in the next week at CdA. Of course, be sure to also check the website and join our Facebook page too!

A Few Notes from Mr Jenkins:
- The school gates will be opened at 7:45AM on Tuesday. School starts at 8:10AM. If you are driving and plan to stay, please arrive early to find street parking. The lot is for staff and volunteers only. The main office will be open at 7:30AM.
- We need valet volunteers for the Coeur d’Alene and Garfield gates, please contact [email protected] if you can help.
- Back to School Night is Tuesday, September 25th. This is an opportunity for parents to meet their child’s teacher and learn more about the academics at CdA. There will be two shifts: grades K-2 (05:25PM – 06:10PM) and grades 3-5 (06:15PM – 07:00PM).
This Week at CdA:
Kinder Picnic and New Parent Orientation – Monday 8/17 11:30AM
New parents, join us on the oval at 11:30 AM! Bring your favorite picnic foods and a blanket. New Parent Orientation will follow at 1PM
Welcome Back Coffee – Tuesday 8/18 @ Drop Off
Join us right after drop off on Tuesday for FREE coffee and treats (sorry, parents only). Chat with old friends and make new ones. We’ll bring the tissues if you need to shed a tear or give you a cheer if you’d rather do backflips! We’re just happy to have you back!
Snow Cone Social – Friday 8/21 after school
We’re rounding out the first week with a sweet treat. Kids can cool down with a $2 snow cone on sale by the cafe right after dismissal.
Beach Day – Saturday 8/22 10AM – 12PM @Venice Beach
The school week may be over, but the party’s just started. Join us at Venice Beach by the first lifeguard station to the left of the pier (Marina del Rey side). Look for umbrellas and tents flying the CdA class T-shirts. Bring a picnic or snacks for the family. We’ll provide the entertainment–games with our favorite Sports Mania Coaches, a sandcastle building contest, and more. This is a family event. All children must be accompanied by parent or caregiver.
